What is Vusion used for?
Vusion is commonly used to treat a type of fungal skin infection (candidiasis) in certain people with diaper rash, a form of dermatitis.
Vusion may also be used for other conditions as determined by your health care provider.
How does Vusion work (mechanism of action)?
Vusion contains miconazole, which is an antifungal medicine. It kills certain fungi by damaging their cell structure. Vusion also contains zinc oxide and white petrolatum. These may help protect the skin by forming a barrier between the skin and moisture.

How should I store Vusion?
Vusion should be stored at room temperature, between 68 F and 77 F (20 C and 25 C). It can be exposed to temperatures between 59 F and 86 F (15 C and 30 C) for shorter periods of time, such as when transporting it. Store in a cool, dry place.

What are the most common side effects of Vusion?
The most common side effect of Vusion is skin irritation (see below). Tell your health care provider if you have any side effects that bother you.

What are the serious side effects of Vusion?

Severe Allergic Reactions. Vusion may cause allergic reactions, which can be serious. Stop using Vusion and get help right away if you have any of the following symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
- Breathing problems or wheezing
- Racing heart
- Fever or general ill feeling
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Swelling of the face, lips, mouth, tongue, or throat
- Trouble swallowing or throat tightness
- Itching, skin rash, or pale red bumps on the skin called hives
- Nausea or vomiting
- Dizziness, feeling lightheaded, or fainting
- Stomach cramps
- Joint pain
Skin Irritation. Vusion may cause skin irritation where it is applied. Stop using Vusion and tell your health care provider if you have skin irritation that bothers you or is getting worse.

Who should not use Vusion?
Allergies to Ingredients. People who are allergic to any of the following should not use Vusion.
- Miconazole
- White petrolatum
- Zinc oxide
- Any of the ingredients in the specific product dispensed

What should I know about Vusion before using it?
Do not use Vusion unless it has been prescribed to you by a health care provider. Use it as prescribed.
Do not share Vusion with other people, even if they have the same condition as you. It may harm them.
Keep Vusion out of the reach of children.
Vusion is for use on the skin only. Keep Vusion away from areas such as your eyes, mouth, and vagina.
Before applying Vusion, gently wash the skin with warm water and pat the skin dry. Use your fingertips to apply a thin layer of Vusion. Do not rub Vusion into the skin. Wash your hands after applying Vusion.
While using Vusion, do not use any scented soaps, shampoos, or lotions on the diaper area.
Use Vusion for the full length of time your health care provider tells you to, even if symptoms are getting better. Tell your health care provider if your condition does not improve after seven days or is getting worse. Do not use it for longer than seven days, unless your health care provider tells you otherwise.
Frequently change diapers to keep urine (pee) or poop from irritating the skin.
What should I tell my health care provider before using Vusion?
Tell your health care provider about all of your health conditions and any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using. This will help them know if Vusion is right for you.
In particular, make sure that you discuss any of the following.
Pregnancy. It is not known if or how Vusion could affect pregnancy or harm a fetus. Tell your health care provider if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant.
Breastfeeding. It is not known if Vusion passes into breast milk. Tell your health care provider if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. Your health care provider will let you know if you should use Vusion while breastfeeding.

Does Vusion interact with foods or drinks?
There are no known interactions between Vusion and foods or drinks.
It is unknown if drinking alcohol will affect Vusion, but heavy drinking can slow your immune response and make it harder for your body to fight infections.

There are no known interactions between Vusion and other medicines. Always tell your health care provider about any prescription or over-the-counter (OTC) medicines, vitamins/minerals, herbal products, and other supplements you are using.
Overdose/Missed Dose
What should I do if I accidentally use too much Vusion?
If you or someone else has used too much Vusion, get medical help right away, call 911, or contact a Poison Control center at 800-222-1222.
What should I do if I miss a dose of Vusion?
If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and only use the next dose. Do not use double or extra doses.
It is important to complete your prescribed course of Vusion, even if your symptoms get better or go away. This will reduce the risk that future infections are resistant to Vusion or other similar medicines.
